Case study: DFK UK & Ireland -Showcasing the benefits of Cloud Accounting

Awareness campaign promotes cloud accounting and wider benefits of DFK membership.

Client profile

DFK UK & Ireland is a group of 16 independent accounting firms across the region dedicated to providing tailored services to businesses across a wide range of sectors. By working together, their aim is to provide the best quality advice and services, and keep abreast of the latest technology to support their clients.

The challenge

DFK UK & Ireland wanted to promote its cloud accounting expertise in partnership with Xero. As well as educating existing and potential clients about cloud accounting, DFK was keen to use the campaign to encourage existing members to make better use of digital accounting software, while promoting the association’s position at the forefront of new technology.

Our approach

Within the limited budget available, we devised a communications plan that would not only promote cloud accounting, but would also raise the profile of member firms and showcase the benefits of the DFK Association.

We combined informative web copy and topical blogs with explanatory animations and a series of videos to promote DFK’s knowledge and expertise. Key messages about the association, including quality of expertise and benefits of collaboration, underpinned all content to support DFK’s growth ambitions. Working in partnership with videographer, Charlie Budd (aka The Tall Photographer), we produced a series of informative videos with a range of member firm experts, giving DFK the opportunity to personalise the association.

"From the minute we gave the brief, Catherine was clear and concise in her plan and made everything run so seamlessly and in a timely manner. We also had a lot of fun on the day of filming and Catherine made us all feel very much at ease."
Caroline Cassidy, Executive Officer, DFK UKI

The outcomes

The approach we took allowed the client to reach a broad audience and share information more flexibly across the association.

To maximise the reach of the campaign, content was made available to all 16 member firms for them to adapt and share with their own clients and prospects. In addition, the “future of accounting” video was used at the annual DFK UK & Ireland Conference.

By focusing on individual key messages across different channels, DFK UK & Ireland was able to build awareness over time and expand the reach of the campaign, while providing its members with fresh content for their own websites and social media.

“I’m thrilled with how this project went! Catherine and her team were a joy to work with. I would highly recommend Catherine and her team and we look forward to working with her again very soon!”
